Behind the Lens
Hey! My name is Maycie, and I am from Ormond Beach, Florida. I am a 19-year-old college student and have been working as a part-time photographer since 2023. I am currently studying Media Production and Management at the University of Central Florida, where I am learning to take visual storytelling to the next level.
I grew up completely immersed in all types of artistic media; spending most of my adolescence putting on photo shoots, making home videos, writing stories, and hosting fashion shows with my old dance costumes. Photography specifically captured my heart when I was twelve-years-old, the same age I purchased my very first camera. Since then, I have found a solace in the creative outlet that is photography.
Visual storytelling has always been my greatest passion, so it only felt natural to turn it into a business during my senior year of high school by creating Moments by Maycie. Through my work, I strive to help others experience the same sense of comfort and beauty in their individuality that I find in capturing moments through my lens.
